The questions addressed in the publication touch upon the foundation of contemporary capitalist society from a critical perspective; neoliberalism and self-entrepreneurship, individualism, self-actualization and self-valuation, immaterial labor, the relationship between automation and the future of work as well as sleep and rest in relation to post-industrial society. We were young creatives, saw brilliant artists around us without a space or platform to show their works, and so the magazine was born. Whereas Issue 1 was a testing ground, a way to provide a platform for young creatives,&nbsp; Issue 2 was around a discursive theme, BOND, zooming in on the era where our encounters with other people, other species and our environment are in constant change. It features works both by course participants and artists selected through an open call. Solar fiction is an invitation to consider the imaginative and experiential aspects of solar-fueled societies. &nbsp;It is a departure from the usual environmental, technical, and economic discussions surrounding solar power, focusing instead on asking what cultural, social, as well as psychological manifestations could arise from an infrastructural shift to solar energy. Works exploring different perspectives of solar fiction were collected through an open call. Together with the audience, we will closely observe Decca going about his everyday chores or in more abstract moments which prompt us to think about humanity from different angles. Within the laboratory, participants are invited to be themselves. There is no script, and the work unfolds as we monitor Decca and discuss our observations.
